Greenwood Township

Located in northern Oscoda County, Michigan, Greenwood Township is a quiet community nestled in the forests of the northern lower peninsula. The area features many inland lakes, including Moon Lake, Snyder Lake and Tee Lake. Four 18 hole golf courses are located at Garland Lodge and Golf Resort and the AuSable River flows just to the south of the Township. The area is just a few miles south of the town of Lewiston, Michigan, and about 40 miles southeast of Gaylord and I-75. Greenwood Township is a haven for anyone -- young or old -- who enjoy the outdoors, whether it be canoeing, fishing, snowmobiling, or hiking.

The offices of Greenwood Township are located on Williams Road, one mile east of County Road 489. See the Clerk’s office for questions concerning elections and voter registration. The Treasurer processes all current property tax payments. The Assessor is in charge of land evaluations, and the Zoning Administrator handles all zoning and blight issues. The Supervisor is available for all other inquiries.
